Of the hundreds of desert monasteries that once flourished in the Holyland, the St. George of Chozeba Monastery in Vadi Kelt in the Judean desert is one of only seven remaining. This CD presents a selection from the Vigil on the Feast Day of St. George of Chozeba, recorded live at the Vadi Kelt Monastery. The vigil is sung by a Greek Byzantine choir from Cyprus and monks of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
